Korean Beef Wraps
Shiso or perilla is one of my go-to greens on my Grobrix wall. It’s bright, slightly minty, and fragrant, making it a versatile accompaniment to dishes.
Here, I’m showing you how to use it in a wrap with my favourite Korean flavours!
Using this as a wrap is a great way to add more greens into your meal!
There are so many ways you can use perilla leaves in your cooking. Here are some of my favourite recipes:

250g thinly sliced beef
1 medium carrot, julienned
1 white onion, thinly sliced
50g Korean bean sprouts
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oil
Marinade
1 tbsp gochujang paste
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp mirin
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2” ginger, grated
Garnish
1 sprig spring onion, sliced to 1”
1 tbsp sesame seeds
8-9 perilla leaves
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
Add in the beef and mix to coat it well with the marinade. Set aside.
In a wide skillet, sauté the onion in some oil till softened.
Add in the carrots, bean sprouts, soy sauce, and 1-2 tbsp of water. Let it simmer till the carrots have softened.
Lastly, add the beef in and simmer for about 2 mins, or until it has cooked ¾ through.
