Charles & Keith SG
Wrapped up this busy and eventful week with a workshop at Charles & Keith!
The 3rd workshop this week on Women’s Nutrition! What a way to welcome and celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD)! I am immensely honoured and grateful to be able to contribute to the understanding of women’s health this way.
Ahead of the session, one of the participants shared with me: “I enjoy eating a variety of foods, but I’m not sure of what exactly to eat”.
This is a common struggle I see amongst busy professionals.
They care about their health.
They want to take action.
But they don’t know how.
We are shrouded with so much controversy and conflicting advice nowadays that it’s hard to keep track of what the actual facts are. The contradictory ‘solutions’ on social media certainly don’t help either!
To help debunk common myths on menstrual health, we kicked off the session with a pop quiz (always a crowd fave)! This was followed with a series of nutrition strategies to support individuals as they go through their menstrual cycles.
The session was, according to a participant, an “insightful and engaging” experience. Someone also shared that they feel empowered knowing that food can actually help with their PMS symptoms too.
Hearing feedback like this reminds me of just how important these conversations are, and why we should have more of them!
Thanks to Charles & Keith and Émer for giving us the opportunity to conduct this workshop on important topics I profoundly care about - women’s health, nutrition, and sustainability.
If you’re keen to learn more about how I run my nutrition workshops, I’d love to share! Get in touch here to start.
