French Film Festival

It’s the time of the year again, where vOilah’s French Film Festival is back for its 39th edition. I had the honour of kicking off the opening night launch.

The event was graced by Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat and Ambassador of France to Singapore, Her Excellency Ms Minh-di Tang. The opening night’s film was The Animal Kingdom (Le Règne Animal), and the film director Thomas Cailley, and actor Paul Kircher were also present with us to speak more about the film.

This year’s film festival was thoughtfully curated to showcase a selection of 38 films across action, historical drama, romance, documentaries, and sustainability—a first for the festival! This inclusion hopes to spark conversations by shining a light on urgent environmental issues and inspire positive impact.
