Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment
I chatted with Minister Grace Fu about the recently-launched Singapore Green Plan 2030, which sets the country’s sustainability development targets and action plans over the next 10 years.
Some initiatives include adding more green spaces, for each household to have a nature park a 10min walk away, reducing waste sent to landfill by 30%, getting at least 20% of our schools to be carbon-neutral by 2030, affixing more solar panels to roof tops of HDBs, installing more electric vehicle charging points, etc.
There’s lots to get excited about, and it requires efforts from the government, businesses, and civil society. The Green Plan has a lot to do with you and I, and if you want to find out more about it, you can catch the livestream on Minister Grace Fu’s Facebook page here or the video below!
